Rode with my son and some friends from Q batch. Had a fantastic time. Well organized and an amazing route in the city. Who thinks up stuff like that? Only negative was the idiot screaming "passing right, passing right" on right near the start on the Emmarentia set up top at the fence. Little girl and her Mom in front (parent & child group) panicked and went otb because this dwis was screaming so much...

Pretty much going to echo what's been said.

Well done to the JUMA guys on a HUGE improvement and an awesome event today... First 20kms were heaps of fun.

Also took strain with rigid SS in the koppies though.

Riding up the stormwater tunnels was much better and safer than the last time.

quite a few boxes trying to overtake in the tunnels :cursing:

Karma showed up a couple times for these clowns though

Yeah. We also had 2 aholes come blitzing past thinking they were heroes, splashing everyone around them. Don't idiots like this realise we CAN all go faster, but we choose not to spray everyone around us? That's why there was a group of about 15 of us, we weren't creating a shooting gallery for you two chops.

we also had some in the storm water drains doing the same thing. Untill he hit the slimy water and ate the concrete ,TWICE! Self preservation was not high on his list clearly.

Don't wish bad on any rider but we were warned don't overtake in certain places and green stuff is slippery. ....And he wasn't an over enthusiastic youngster either even though he had ponytails

Lekker to see everyone enjoyed the race a whole lot more this year... the feedback we got at out Anatomic watering hole was great to hear! Hope you enjoyed the ice cold coke, water and range of biscuits/sweets & chips. Was pretty miff I couldn't ride, but it was good to still enjoy the vibe on the day - that said, hopefully I'll be on the start line next year. Just need to convince the organisers to move the date off the Comrades weekend

I did also get to enjoy the JURA the day before, was also a seriously cool event if you enjoy slapping on your tekkies every now and then. Makes for a lekker weekend double up.

And that finish line hospitality was pretty special... my daughter loved the kiddies obstacle course, good for burning off her free ice-cream, and there was plenty to eat and drink for us adults too along with a lekker vibe. The bar has been set pretty high
