I heard it was going back to original route this year? Have never done the race , but was keen for it this year.

Hey mtnDobby - perhaps search for the thread on last year's event? I seem to remember lots of feedback from those who rode it - I didn't, so can't help you!

The route is going back to the old one and will be on the Sunday (road) while the MTB race is now on Saturday.

 

I've never done the new route, so I can't compare.

 

I also don't know how the road conditions are... was last there in 2010

^{Last year the route included speed bumps, railway lines and areas where one was begged for sweets continuously. Fairly flattish too. Not the best event I have ever done, not by a long shot .}

 

^{I said I would not do it as its on a sunday , but am rethinking that to get the legs working again early in the season so to speak.}
