fau1ty Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 ok so here it is, on the way to work in the morning i listen to 5fm, this happens to be Gareth Cliff's show. very often he bashes cycling and cyclists over the air. Does he have the right to do this? Cyclists also have a right to use the road and have road closure for events. i am not sure what his personal opinion is, or what he is trying to achieve but he should be stopped. i would start a petetion or facebook group to form an aliance against him but this would just give him satisfaction of his selfish little thoughts. Greg Albert said last night in the CKZN meeting that we should do something as he is only tarnishing cycling in a day and age were we need it to be promoted. i know he was invited by a pro team to ride in a team car for a race but declined it, possibly beacuse it is easy to slam somthing when you are ignorant. i feel somebody should take this up with 5fm management or his program manager, does he have the right of this "properganderis" bullsh1t. can you believe he claims to have had a dream last night that he was in a relationship with Paris Hilton, do me a favour more like he was with her dog. faulty

Azonic Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Cliff is a tw@t. He has bad mouthed cyclists many times which is why I don't listen to his show anymore. He knows nothing about the sport so he shouldn't flap his lip about it. He knows what gets people of a certain mentality worked up, and he exploits it. If I start bitching about taxis, I'll also get allot of people listening and agreeing. However, saying what he has said about cyclists might just get one of us killed. A petition should be started, sommer RIGHT HERE, and we can send the mail off to 5FM management.

Some people love the things we hate and it is also the other way round..... P.S: Also had a dream last night....me and Jessica Simpson had dinner and then coffee at her place!
