cadenceblur Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Anyone here using the Garmin Connect IQ Training Peaks app?I've just downloaded it and did a quick test. The zones on my Garmin device differ from that of the Training Peaks website where the workout was originated.Anyone else experience this?

Tristand Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 (edited) aah kind of defeats the purpose then doesn't it? The Garmin Trainingpeak applet has nothing to do with settings. It is purely to perform structured workouts uploaded onto Trainingpeaks, IE interval sessions.Works well for that purpose. PS. There is no way for a 3rd party app to access (read or write) the training zones on a Garmin. I have tried. Edited April 29, 2017 by Tristand
splat Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I am half heartedly dabbling with the idea of getting a Stages power meter, but find it interesting that many of the used ones on the Classifieds are 175mm length and not the 'standard' 172.5mm. Is there a reason behind this or just a strange observation/phenomenon ?

Namely height. 172.5mm and 175mm are both very common. cadenceblur 1
splat Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 MTB standard is generally 175 and road 172 No such thing as a 'standard' length for a crank, it needs to match your body geometry. Andrew_Smith Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 (edited) For those wanting to add more value/function to Strava with a power meter, add this to Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/strava-sauce/eigiefcapdcdmncdghkeahgfmnobighaThis is an awesome extension for Strava (combined with StravistiX) and you are sorted! Shows your critical power, normalized power, intensity and TSS score. Edited August 29, 2018 by Andrew_Smith
