Hi Gerald, seeing that the race is now timed by Racetec, is there still a use for my Championchip?

Would I need to purchase a Racetec - chip?

You have not yet bought a Racetec chip?

Eventually you will end up with about 4 or 5 chips for cycling........

This year's CCMNC was my first ever road race, so I didn't know the differences between all these roadie timing companies. I'll anyway need a Racetec for Amashova.

Thanks

The main reason for moving over to Racetec is to guarantee that your result is used for seeding at every other Racetec-timed event.

It's not compulsory, but if you want a time and the resulting seeding then you need a chip.

Unfortunately we were the last big race to move away from ChampionChip but they still do time a few smaller races.

Hi Gerald

Will you be taking late entries for the Road race(s)? I might be in Jhb that weekend, but I'll know for sure end of this month.

Thanks

I'm sure we will be taking late entries, at all four number collection points from Wed - Sat.

Hi Gerald, when is registration closing? I've tried to look on the webpage, but can't find it.

I will update the closing date on the webpage.

Do you mean "Online entries"?

If in doubt, most of the answers can be found in the FAQ section:

If still in doubt, go to the "contact us" page and complete the form.

I'll get it via an email.

Thanks Gerald,

I've just tried to enter anyway, but experience issues with payment- I didn't received my OTP number.

Had the same problem just now with Satellite Classic as well, so I assume it's a bank thing. Will try again later.

For the payment problems, you need to address it with Cycle Events.

One month to go to the MTB event.

One month, 1 day, to the road event.

We have some great lucky draw prizes available for the event, courtesy of some smaller sponsors and bike shops.

Clubs are encouraged to setup their gazebos in the "hospitality" area. Speak to your club committee and let me know if you're interested.
