Yip

And a lot of Sky's riders ended up on a coffee ride today, they threw in the towel very early on.. only Lopez stayed with Froome for a while longer. Whereas Movistar and Tinkoff worked very hard.. it may catch up with them.

Only time will tell.

Good point and well spotted Gen. Sky are pretty much rested after yesterday. Today not too hard and then tomorrow a rest day. Race might not be over quite yet.

It's for Quintana to lose

And he's looking good

His time-trailing is oraait

The only question is who will fill the rest of the podium

Would like to be a fly on the wall of the sky bus

IMO sky stuffed up yesterday already spending to much time on the front on a long hot and hardest stage... They could have sat up but noooooo

Management (DS)failure???

Quintana won't be beaten, to strong

Unless something bad happens

Sky were sleeping at the back of the bunch. Contador pulled his usual surprise. Go when nobody expects it. Quintana was wise to the attack.

Fantastic racing. A day of all out excitement. Not the usual train pulling on the front.

The race ain't over until they are in Madrid and anything can still happen. Quintana is the hands on favorite but Froome is only down but not out.

Ha ha ha ha.. the podcast after the stage is very good.. great interview with Steven de Jong, especially the bit about Astana working with Froome..

Snide remark when asked if it was Alberto isolated if they too would've asked for help from Astana.. the answer was..basically you never know what happens, but they (tinkoff) sure don't have the budget for that [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

There was apparently a small crash in the beginning of the stage when it was full gas, but by the sounds of it, was really just a small one and only slowed the chase a bit and didn't bring them to coming to a halt... doesn't seem like any of the teams are using it as an excuse.

PS the DS of sky (Dario) was very down in the his interview

Apparently he was still busy talking to the press when the move of the day went.[emoji85]

Oleg on Astana - "Astana are a sh*t team and their tactics were sh*t." But we also know that there is no love lost between the 2 teams.

Today's weather

Weather: hot and sunny, 31°C on the coast and the wind could pick up to 20km/h, a tailwind for the final kilometre.

***Could there be cross-wind drama??***
