Hey Hubbers

I'm in Jozi, one of my bikes is in Cape Town (long story) and I have no idea how to get it back up north.

Anyone used a service or know a good way to do this? I'm not planning a trip there anytime soon so I can't just put it on the plane with me.

Thoughts?

Pack it in a box and ship it - actually - ask Bogus_one how he ships frames around - sure he knows a reliable method

Ride up the west coast to Saldanha, then hit the Sishen-Saldanha railway line service road.

When you get to Sishen, hang a right, before long you'll be in Gauteng. From there you probably know the route. Believe me, it's the best way.

Also try 6wicks (6wicks.co.za). I have used them to get my bike from Jhb to Cpt and back before and was quite happy with the service received. How it works is you drop off your bike at one of the affiliated bike shops who packages your bike for you send it then off to another affiliated bike shop at the destination you want, who then reassembles it for you. Pretty hassle free.
