This makes my blood boil!!Time to start handing out some jungle justice. After they hit the bike the car went sliding into the yellow line,on the left hand side and also the steepest section on that climb.Just fortunate there were no cyclists .RIP

Bit spooked after seeing this crash site

Greg was indeed a damn fine cyclist, athlete and all round good guy, he will be sorely missed.

Guys do we know anything more? I can't seem to find a news article about it.

Was it an accident? Negligent driving? By whom? I've also seen bikes going crazy fast on that road.

Not sure if this is true but I had cause to be chatting to a SAPS officer today in HB and he told me that the guys actually robbed the guy they hit. I was so stunned that I just had to leave that conversation.Surely no one is that debase of human emotion?

You would be surprised.  A cousin of mine lost her husband a few years ago in a motor accident.  They were living in Vereeniging and he travelled to Johannesburg for work and never returned.  He was robbed of his belongings at the scene of the accident.  We are not sure if he was already dead or badly injured.  But with his belongings went his wallet and ID. He died at the scene and the police could not identify him immediately.  Took my cousin three day from searching every possible hospital and morgue in the Vereeniging and Johburg South areas before the found him.

I was at school with a guy who went on to be an ambulance driver. He used to claim (unverified) that some saps and ambo drivers would share the spoils at an accident scene (radio, contents of wallet) if the occupants were unconscious or passed away. Awful but humans can become pretty awful pretty quickly
