Hi all,

I would like to know if there has been any review on the Lyne dropper post and how well its working?

Also whats the most reliable droppers so far?

Thanks in advance

I'm using a da bomb, the externally routed cable up to the switch at the seat post faces up and hence the cable tends to collect grime and water. I keep the cable well lubed and I have replaced the inner/outer once over the past few months.

Occasionally I spray some Q20 onto the switch mechanism.

I haven't had any issues with it yet, however in retrospect I should have bought a reverb.

I have one. Had great service from Lyne and for the price there is nothing close. Coming from a Reverb I thought it would be a downgrade, but to be honest I can't feel a difference.

Reverb has too many issues but the new one with new internals might be better.

Even though it may be better, the cost of services (it will need a service) are far too pricey compared to a cable operated dropper.

I have a Lyne. It is amazing and super easy to install. Very smooth and has never ever got stuck or anything. It also seems to have a lot less play (Actually like barely any play) compared to others which I have used. Just my 2c.

Yip only used mine for a month or so. For the money, it's hard to beat! No issues so far and enjoying the options of having a variable seat level!

PS - make sure your frame and seatpost height is compatible with the Dropper!

Bought one for the girlfriend's bike about 2 months ago. Operation is smooth and hasn't given any issues as of yet.

My only two gripes which don't seem to bother her;

1. The lever is a bit loose. Has been properly tightened, but has a slight shake to it.

2. Before riding, you need to give it a slight pull to get it going. If left for a couple days it won't operate if you just press the lever.

Other than that, way cheaper than any other internal dropper I've seen and Lyne seem very responsive so I don't think warranty and parts would be an issue. I'd give it a 4/5.

I've bought a handful of Lyne droppers - some internal routing, some external and half with the 1x lever.

All of them have been faultless and flawless in their operation.  Great product, great price and great service from them!

The only difference that I can see between these and a Reverb is that on the Reverb you can set the speed that the seat comes back up to the top position.  But I don't think that this can make up the massive difference in cost.  In actual operation they feel virtually the same.

Highly recommended!

PS - I don't find any of the two issues mentioned by Longstreet above.

Can anybody comment on the servicing of the Lyne dropper , do you have to send it in ? Is there a kit? Or is it simply unscrew the collar and put on grease?

You may need to loosen the seat clamp a bit. I had similar issues with sticking half way. as soon as I loosened the seatclamp, I could feel less resistance on the movement.

As he said all droppers are sensitive to the seat clamp being too tight.
