Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

 

Is it in any way possible that a Single / Jeep track can be ridden from both directions ?

If so. HOW freekin dangerous is that then ??

Yes. Many different trails that are dual direction, and it is up to the riders to take note of this and anticipate other riders coming in the other direction. IE - don't pin it on blind corners without shouting rider coming etc, and just being courteous. If you see another rider on a technical section (climb OR descent) then the rider that is ascending or descending (as per the rules of the trail) has right of way. Stop, pull over and wait.

 

Only dangerous if it's completely blind and the other rider is coming barrelling down without any due care or consideration.

 

Obviously if a trail is one direction only, then one need not take counter-direction riders into account.

Not always applicable. Depends on the trail itself. Some have strict instructions to yield to DESCENDING riders (jonkers & Tokai for one) 

 

But - if there's no signage, IMBA rules apply.
