.................                              ........................ Dot watching  :w00t:  :w00t:  :w00t:

                ...............                .

                              ...              .

                                .              .

                                ................

Started today with the early morning night rides, it's amazing how the same route change from day time to night time, takes me exactly the same time, although I don't have to fight the wind at night I can't ride that fast because you can only see as far as the light shines, and that makes it difficult to pic the fast line.

But I prefer night riding, me, myself and I and mother nature, the peace and quiet, the amazing stars and the night time sounds makes it all worth the while.

Looking at the nearly full moon last night, made me wish to be out on an all night ride...

Being summer they should have a bit more daytime for the RTC . I see the two Roy's are covering the back but they must get to that portage before dark . Did it in the dark and it's not very nice , especially if you slightly of the route .

I do not like the idea of going near that old derelict farm house after dark...    :excl:

AyUp red penlights - riding last 8 about hours need 5 hours charge

Petzel - map reading 3 x AAA batteries last about 3 nights

I use to use Light & Motion Sega 900 - moerse bright light - last 12 hours need 4 hours charge.

Eat lots of carrots and grow rabbit eyes, it also works quite well.

I thought Marnitz didn't use maps?

I don't, only follow the sun due West, that's why I sometimes enjoy a Under a Million Stars Bush Hotel sleep out......

Who else is doing the RASA this year ???

Must say I'm struggling with the training, Vredendal is a real desert town, very cold in the morning and really hot in the day, like 40 degrees +, but very beautiful with lots of proper climbs.

I'm so glad that the RASA is held in the middle of winter !!!!
