Yep...even the Spur 45km Marathon race I rode yesterday at Nooitedacht had sections if singletrack VASTLY more technical than the Tygerberg trails.

And it's not exactly like I am riding my trail bike a lot of the times on the trail either...

Love your bike!

It's my favourite section on Hoogekraal. 2nd fave is the lower section on the way back down to the car park - from that little drop before the widowmaker down.

Ah yes, the 'Widow Maker'

Striking fear in the hearts of evil doers with talk of hell and damnation.

It really should just be changed to this.

i was pleasantly surprise and definitely soiled myself, when i hit the double black at Lebanon, however i'm an average rider, live on table mountain so not much of upskilling there!

the rock garden/drops Dan(iRide) spoke about put me in very very uncomfortable space, although i rode it and coped, i contemplate going back and riding it again!

Exactly! All it takes is you trying it once to realise you can do it...Sort of...then you will want to go back again and again and get better at it.

Let's just say that there's nothing like this on Cobra or Trail Z. This is the old rock drop mid way down DH2 in Tokai, renewed and given a bit more pep. That's Skollie pretending to Braaaaap.

3 things that's mind boggling, the dude ontop of jump, he's clothes are too big, the jump is taller/higher than the dude ontop of jump and lastly Myles wtf, 26 991 posts

Will admit that I was just too darn tired to do the widowmaker yesterday. pap snoek.

Haha. That Spyker's Hill really takes it out of me. This one time I was passed twice by a mamil on a flashy hardtail. Fit as a fiddle. He was like: 'You still on your first lap?' I was like. 'You mean I'm suppose to do more than one?

yeah, but skollie would rival Tyrion Lannister ito height, so it's difficult for him to get clothes that fit right. Luke (oke in the striped hoodie) is my height, for reference.

And 26,994.

I have time, at times. Between things uploading and waiting for data... then recommending options and such...

LOL. I know :(

But yeah. I was completely and utterly toast. If there was no chicken line I'd have walked it. If the rock was back I MAY have done it, but only cos I didn't have enough energy to do the initial drop properly.

Removal of that rock makes absolutely no difference except in your head ;)
