I loved my Raleigh RC1000, RC6000 and I am still pondering the RC7000 or the Team LTD. Was my 1st make of road bike.

What more can I say?

There were 3 generations of this bike. Generations 2&3 (from 2008 to 2010) were great bikes.Generation 1 (2007) however had a tendency to crack at the point where the chainstay and bottom bracket joined.

This problem only affected some of the frames, but for safety reasons Raleigh had a recall on all of these frames. For some reason there are a few frames floating around that were never exchanged.

If the bike you are looking at is a 2007 model, take a close look for cracks in the chainstay. If the frame hasn't cracked by now, it probably won't, but consider that it might still.

If you are in doubt as to whether it is a 2007 model, you are welcome to PM a picture to me.

Also consider that Raleigh sizing is a bit strange and that a 48 in a Raleigh might be too big for you if you normally ride a 48.This, however doesn't apply to the 2007 model. I suggest you ride the bike and make sure you are happy with the sizing first.
