not sure if you are bragging or moaning?

I'm moaning, I do have a slight ocd problem and when I start considering something I always find some stupidly round about way to justify it even though i shouldn't.

If my financial situation allowed I would probably purchase 5 bikes a day out of these flippen classifieds and then go to work building a super machine out of that and put the other pieces together on the other bikes....

Fortunately, I think, I don't have that kind of Tom! Only way is to bypass the urge to trawl the classifieds I'm afraid! (and stay off the CWC firesale threads!!!!)

BUT... What if you come across the BARGAIN of a lifetime on a dreambike???

(and you know you probably should'nt....)

Do you just sit by and see it disappear into some other lucky hubbers garage...

We were doing so well, showed so much restraint this year, and then we didn't.. we couldn't justify buying ourselves new bikes, but my youngest son definitely needed a new one[emoji102]

Therein lies the problem. I spent about 3 months trying to figure out how to get a Pyga 120 in the 35k range with a decent build before I opted for a previous year model demo Anthem 1.

Now 4 months later the silly people at that aforementioned online bike shop throw up that Pyga ad to temp me when all I was doing was trying to find a cheap 650b frame for my better half.

But now after seeing that PYGA offer I am thinking that my other son also needs a new bike[emoji53]

Don't worry dude, we have all been there at one stage or another. It will eventually blow over. You will wake up one morning and realise that you have been an idiot to constantly upgrade your equipment instead of enjoying this wonderful sport of ours. The birth of your child could be the turning point for you, I will hold thumbs that it does. Until then, chin up and be strong.

I know your pain.

Just spent 45k on 2x Cannondale Rush 1's. One was 2nd hand (my cousin bought it and decided he needed the Scalpel, he did about 300km) The other one was the last of the old stock.

We (my wife and I) are roadies and have decided to try MTB. Put Sani2C on the bucket list (so if anyone has an entry :whistling: ). I think it'll be a nice thing to do as a couple.

But now we need a Thule, proper bibs, shoes and and and.... Everytime I go to the bike shop it is R700- R1k

I must say. I managed to stay out of the bike shop for a week

Wife is checking online though.

I think in this situation I would have bought the Pyga, kept the Giant as a 2nd bike (because the Giant is the best bike as a 2nd bike), and buy the wife a better bike than my bikes, something like the carbon Giant Lust. I think this is the best possible solution.

Hi,

What ever you buy, make sure that it is your size so that if your wife does not use it, you could just accasionally borrow it.

Hi. My name is CarbonBoy and I'm a bikeaholic.

But that is the least of my worries. I am also addicted to sugar, alcohol, coffee, porn, technology, YouTube, chocolate, BikeHub, trolling, adrenaline and pain, so count yourself lucky bru!

... funnies aside, I actually do have a problem here.

Yup... in the same boat here! Realised this month I need to SLOW down otherwise I am gonna have much bigger problems than paying my credit card bill (ie: my wife wants to murder me).

Edit: Proverbial credit card bill. Buying stuff on credit (especially bike parts) is for dummies.

never buy bike stuff with credit cards, thats just a recipe for disaster.

also kids take up too much time and money that could be spent on bikes.
