Every time I see a bargain my overdraft gets bigger :( I have another kid on the way and can't seem to pass up a red sign with a white sale price in it.

... funnies aside, I actually do have a problem here.

Mate, you don't walk into to a bar to say you've got a booze problem... someone is bound to buy you a drink!

Think you're going to hear anything sane comments here? We're all addicted and we're not quitting any time soon. As someone said to me recently - 'I ain't buying any more.... but I ain't buying any less.'

oh, and where did you see that PYGA deal???

Hi. My name is Odinson and I'm a bikeaholic.

It's been 11 months since I bought my last bike and every day the urge to splurge on another grows stronger. I don't think I can hold out much longer.

All the other addicts are frothing now too....

Seriously though, who runs that deal?  :whistling:

www.vbike.co.za - you see i'm not the only one who can't resist it.

I can save 5k/month sending my kid to a government school, that'll cover it?

:cursing:  :whistling:

Eish I have the same affliction and it starts very innocently.....I have now just gone cold turkey on bike spending.....one day at a time.

The only way is to go cold turkey and Nakoota if you're properly struggling with this in a serious manner, make sure you tell your missus the truth that it's a problem! The only way you can get her to support you through the process is if she knows about it! If you don't you'll be forced to try and manage it under the radar and you're gonna get bust somewhere with some purchase and your financial matters will be exposed to her dude. Then you'll be dealing with a whole new level of stress that goes well beyond compulsive buying habits!

The only way to properly keep a handle on it moving forward is to avoid looking at the deals when you have what you need already.

Disclaimer: There is an element of tongue in cheek here, i'm fortunate to be able to buy what I do but that doesn't mean I don't have a problem.

On that note, I blame my wife!

Every time I say I need something, hoping that she will say NO and be the voice of reason, she says go for it!

You should see my fly fishing addiction, a boat, 5 rods, 7 reels and counting

oh look CWC are having a sale......

Been looking at that, those 27.5 Reba shocks would be great for a bike for my wife but then I have to battle with thru axle to QR conversion on the Shimano 27.5 rims they have on sale.

Dammit Nakoota!

I said I was done with bike and parts after I got my Propel in July...

Wednesday I pop in to my LBS just to say Howzit to the guys, and see a set of nice carbon wheels at a good price, so just maybe... The old bike could do with an upgrade too !

Then I see Shimano's new road shoes, S-Phyre... Already want a pair, but I think I can justify this spend after a crashed my current Shimano R171's last year.

I think we all have a problem !

I am lucky in a way that I just have myself to look after... and my dog.
