Looking for a one-piece 11-speed MTB cassette

I've destroyed 2 freehub bodies on my bike in the last few months - been doing a lot of training in the 11T sprocket the the whole time, and its just torn through the bodies completely.

Instead of more bodies - m looking for a shimano cassette 11-speed MTB anything as long as its a one-piece cassette (ie. all bonded together and no loose individual sprockets). I've had no luck in my research, but if any hubbers know of specific cassettes that would fit this bill, please drop a reply or a PM and help me out ?

Thanks,

Pk

I don't believe any exist... not on shimano body cassettes.

You really need to look at different chainrings - even if its just for the training.

I found that I was sitting on the 10T a lot with a 32T front on a 650B bike

Now much better on a front 36T..

Also I don't think you meant to run on the very outer gears of you cassette

I've seen a 10-speed shimano one before (in fact it was on my bike before upgrading to 11-speed) but I seriously dont know what to do to stop eating up freehub bodies short of converting to XD...

How tight is the lock ring?

I do mine up to 45nm and any and all gouging has now stopped.

Most wheels say only up  to 38/40 nm but I have not had any problems with 45

the 11T is always loose. I have seen a SRAM cassette that had all riveted together except the 11T.

You ideally need a wheelset or hub with the steel insert on the freehub to prevent gouging - I typically think Rapide's hubs are genius that way...

or a full steel hope freehub... guess that means hope hub too.. can't be bad....

Yeah maybe its time for a rapide rear hub....

or a full steel DT Swiss hub...

What hub do you have. Some types have the option of steel freebody shells and some have a thin steel insert (you only need one) on the face of one of the freebody splines.

Or go SS if you spend so much time in one gear anyway.

Funny Enough, this is on my 29er set with slicks, I am finding myself in the bottom 3 gears most of the time....

Its a DT Swiss 370 triple-pawl.

Also an Idea - need a 28H hub though.

Get a bigger chainring. I'm pretty sure you could get a steel freebody for that DT Swiss hub.
