Road Wheels 30mm vs 34mm

I'm looking at 2 sets of wheels. The one set has a 34mm profile American classic 420 aero   https://amclassic.com/index.php/wheels/420-aero-3.html

Versus Irwin IAW-30 which are 30mm deep.  http://irwincycling.co.za/product/iaw-30/

The Irwin's are quite a bit cheaper. and I like their hub but I really can't make up my mind! Will the 4mm deeper section make a difference?

I currently have a set of 22mm Alu Edge Design's. I am looking for some kind of upgrade and something a little more aero - I'm not very heavy, I don't think I can go very aero.

Any opinions out there?

The AC 420's are a great wheelset and they have decent hubs. Although 4mm is unlikely to make much of an aero difference, they would definitely be my pick of the two.

Thanks for the opinions... so hard to decide...

I definitely have analysis paralysis.

Oh dont lie!

Everybody has said that AC are better, you wanted us to say the Irwin's were better didnt you :P

Well I was hoping the Irwin's would get a vote because my wallet most defnitely prefers them but I had my heart set on the AC's before the Irwin's arrived with their ceramic bearings and special price!

Damnit!

Doesn't help that I haven't seen either wheel in person. I did just do a reccie and looked at some token's, Fulcrums and Vision but to be honest I can't really tell the difference...

Just check width of wheel and the amount of frame clearance....

Yes, this was worrying me... how do I go about checking it? Just measure it? how much wiggle room do I need?

Buy the wheels that you WANT, not the ones that you think you should get.

Ride happy rather than mildly pleased.

You are lucky someone summoned me to the thread, Here are the 420's at R200 rand cheaper than the Irwins and free shipping. We have 2 riders that roll on the 420's and are happy with them.
