I also went to cycle zone and saw a second hand cubixx entry level bike for 3k.I don't know much about bicycles so some advice would really help Thanks

Warren_G Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Please stay away from Game/Makro bikes, even if only used for commuting they're terrible quality and won't last very long. Rather invest in better spec'd entry level bikes around 10k. At least you'll be able to ride it for a few years before outgrowing the bike/wanting an upgrade.

If used as a commuter (NOTHING else) and well maintained why should it not last .... Flame away but most would not spend 10k on a commuter bike if they are looking for a cheap way to get to work and back

The only issue I have with them that they would try and sell you either the cheapest thing they have or something thats way above your budget, and they dont bother checking your frame size.

Wheels, gears, brakes, frame ....all moving parts eventually he replaced all and donated the bike to charity....then he went out and bought an old giant roadbike and converted it to SS ... been on that for a good couple of thousand k's and ends up taking the SS out for most of his roadie rides whilst his nice campy equipped ridley stays at home
