I was under the impression that it was okay to lane split while the cars were standing, but once the cars start moving, you are obliged to move into the lane. No axe to grind, I'm just asking. It looks fkng dangerous, esp with the calibre of drivers on the road today.you are allowed to lane split, as long as you do not exceed the speed limit, or travel 15km/h faster than the vehicles around you.

It's just becoming part of the road more and more and there is very little you can do about it. I don't foresee it getting any better.Jip. The taxis do what they want, it's so laughable sometimes when you see what they do it's actually sad. Nothing will be done, the goverment is scared of them. They are part of a gang of mobsters. They control the roads and "laws". Another HUGE problem is people on their phones. I sometimes think they're almost worse than the taxis.

When i see a vehicle drifting towards the middle lane I'm 99% sure they're on their phone's. I try to get a shot of them, but it's difficult to get good shots unless their windows are down. I point or hoot at them about them using their phones, they then get angry at me and most probably think I'm the dwis on the bike...

I used to get really angry about it and would arrive at work all worked up.. thinking stuff like what right to they have to overtake illegally and push through traffic - we are all trying to get to work, do they not care about passengers' lives, etc... Now I just try to remember that for every taxi on the road it means 15-20 less cars that would otherwise be using the same road as me, and I imagine how long my commute would take then! Now this *** doesn't bother me so much.
