Nice competitive ladies field.. the time gaps may not show that but been great to watch the tactics out there for stage wins ..hardlines Robyn.. Maybe next year's.. surely all bad luck is now out the way.

 

Hi Gen - why do you say it was competitive? It only looked like a 2-horse race after the Prologue, from Stage 1 there was no change or meaningful challenge and 1 team only.  But you've been following it more closely than me - what's the story?

True yes on GC.. but Strauss and Last really got better as the week went on..which made the race for stage win really interesting. The ladies field will grow a bit every year.

 

 

Remember onl 2 years ago before the changes it was always only a bout 1 team.. now we can see a GC race and stage victory get battled out.

Somehow I am battling to see team Spur even continuing after 2017 if Ariane isn't able to come back stronger after this.

The masters race was super competitive. Doesn't matter how long ago they retired but damn Cuddles and Hincapie pushed all the way to the line, incredibly competitive. Once a racer always a racer..

I miss the Grand Finale at Lourensford. And they used to have a race for us poor people on the day just so we could also feel the vibe. I think it was sponsored by Liquifruit then.
