If yo going to pair with a bike computer and also with a iPad or Samsung then the wahoo bits:

HR : Wahoo Tickr

Cadence:  Wahoo RPM Cadence pod

Speed: Wahoo RPM Speed pod

Cadence/Speed: Wahoo Blue SC (this is a Speed and Cadence sensor, similar to the Garmin, but see below, ANT+ and BTLE capable)

is all fantastic in the are all Blue Tooth and ANT+ capable.

Thanks guys, seems I have a few options. The Joule make sense as the IDT is from the same place but the Wahoo offering really looks good!

My workouts are controlled via Trainer Road.

That uploads to Strava and Training Peaks and also to DropBox.

What applications do you use to log your workout?

Mine goes through CycleOps virtual training to strava where it meets my on the road rides. Using cell on the bike now but am looking for a dedicated device.

But mostly I just love gadgets !!

Tickr and RPM speed/cadence pod from wahoo are awesome, all do dual mode ANT+/BTLE

The main difference between BTLE and ANT+ is BT is one to one where ANT+ is one to many so it can be connected to multiple devices at the same time.

I sent he developers from Cyclemeter a mail, to get feedback on a product. It seems that it can work external sensors, but not sure if it can do BT Cad, SPD and HRM.
