I heard a tinkling noise from one of my wheels on my CX bike that is tubeless, only to open it up and find the top piece of a rivet inside the tyre.

The only way it could have got there is by being inserted from the outside. Tubeless had held up. I am damned if I know where and how i managed to get it in there.

Is it maybe from one of yours?

Are you using alu nipples?

Happened to a mate on his 2 day old Mavic R-SYS... you can only imagine what his mood was like.

Generally the R-Sys isnt a very strong wheel, a friend hit a stone (similar to a lime stone as part of it disintegrated into white powder) ended up with a bent lip on the braking surface,

dragons had to rebuild the wheel with new spokes and replace a rim, costed him 5k.

strong or not, having that happen after spending 20k is never a good feeling.
