Unfortunately we are not as hardcore and will stick with the drive to Stellies in the morning

Shucks, I am starting at 6h42, but my son starts 6h05, and we usually park at the Paradyskloof garage to have a little warmup ride and then dodge the homegoing traffic.

 

And I usually have to take 3 dumps before I line up.   I don't know, sht just happens on race days. Nerves, maybe. It's a touchy subject. And I need to eat at least 3 hours before I ride else my tummy has a hissy fit with me.

Haha! Yeah I also take a few dumps before the start. My start time is 6:04 but thankfully I stay in Welgevonden so it's a nice 15 minute warm up ride to the start. Last year they did not even ask my start card because I was too early.

Last year I was fortunate enough to overhear people talking at Registration. I drove around the corner and promptly booked a room id the Dorm of Huis du Preez (Stellies High School). R150 for the night. Bed, shower, parking and another shower after the race. Breakfast was a my own arrangement of Future life and long life milk. Very convenient. Leaving now to board for Cape Town. Good luck, weather looks like PB conditions.

I'm going to registration after work if anyone in Milnerton / Tableview area wants me to pick up their number. Can then fetch it from me some time before Sunday. I remember what a mission it was to fetch the number when I was working in the CBD.

The 94.7 officially has the same rule, but for some reason the guy that bought my entry automatically got my seeding as well (maybe the organisers didn't felt like bothering to look up his seeding)

 

He said afterwards he kept up for about 500 meters with the rest of VB bunch before being dropped

I also don't havea tandem rack and we expect to be a slow time but let me know if it's any help?
