XT M8000 Shift level getting stuck

I looked my my shifter now (only 3 rides old, no crashes), and there is only just over 1mm clearance between the levers

Likely the reason it feels so resistant to bending is because its bent only slightly, thus material is resisting the bend back. File off the plastic use some fine water paper to polish it up and your good to go. Least amount of risk and should work fine once done.

Or a long pole over the lever to get leverage....

 

Yeah you have 4 choices, Amberdrake's suggestion is the least risky,

 

otherwise leave it as is and live with it;

 

or try to straighten it and risk breaking it - have to buy a new one

 

or just buy a new one....
