Wonder why top men didn’t choose disk brakes but top ladies did.

My guess is for quick wheel changes as punctures are a real threat on the rough spring classic roads. Also, there aren't many big descents. Although the conditions would seem to favour discs but these guys do have the best bike handling skills.

The ladies might not have as many resources when it comes to bike and wheel options. Anyone know?

T-A has an incredible start list..

Besides Porte and Quintanna (movistar have taken Landa instead[emoji1303]) who are playing the avoidance game it is set to be one hell of a race.. with all the big names in all categories in attendance..the sprinters and puncheurs best be attentive cause if weather interferes we may just see the same situation we saw a few years ago.

I wonder if anyone has timed the difference between disc and rim brakes?

And are the wheel and discs the service cars/bikes carry compatble with any disc system, or would they have to carry spares of each specific disk system in the peloton?
