HC, what are you're local trails like?

Local Cape Town stuff really but with an eye mostly pointing downhill and struggling up when needed.

So Jonkers, Tokai, Conti's, Trail X type thing, Stellenbosch area. Looking to join in some Enduro races this year for a gas.

It's a Large and I'm a Medium. Plus I'm not back in SA until after Xmas so I imagine it'll be well gone by then. Great looking bike and couldn't believe it was a L.

Hmmm

I agree then.

Such a rubbish conundrum to be in.

I am swinging the other way. No more side bikes, no more projects, no more ideas....

I have a fun bike (also a Mercer but an early custom), I have a Spaz Epic race bike and I have a road bike. All the other stuff is slowly being sorted and shall be redistributed shortly.

I have a Niner sir 9 which is tearing my heart out.... do I keep it or do I sell it?

But the temptation of unbuilt frames to just buy stuff I really don't need for a bike that will sit around most of the time is annoying.

As Myles said, the Mondraker would kill in CT.

One thing that is really important when riding an aggro HT (any mountain bike, as a matter of fact) is you have to keep your hips and knees loose. Keep your knees and hips loose and you really don't have to worry too much about being bucked by the rear end of the bike.

I hear you! but that N+1 just gets you. I was happy, I'd walked away from road riding because it was just getting to sketchy in CT, sold my Evo, upgraded my Tranny Bandit to the Smuggler... that was supposed to be it. Done. 1 bike to rule them all. No need to look else where. The Shed was looking tidy, organized and no decisions to make.

Then for some unknown reason I bought a Mattoc from CRC on their first week of Black Friday and then it all started unravelling. When I popped up in the UK the sheer amount of kit at unheard of prices and eating too many scotch eggs, sampling too much ale and not having a bike here to work off those calories just started the thoughts. Danger!

Oh, keep the 9'r! ;)

I thought they were steel.... My bad.

That suntuur fork is also just something you will want to change so maybe best to just go in where you won't have to tinker too much.

go for the norco, great bikes, and parts are relatively cheap to upgrade compared to frames.

noting wrong with the x-fusion fork, riding one myself for the past 2 years and served me well without any problems.

Love the orange, but it's the older one with the older geo afaik.

Norco is a KILLER bike. Still quite short by modern geo standards and will be reflected in the frame sizing.

That Mondraker though.....joh joh joh.

Personally, that's what I'd get if I already had the tranny

I voted for the orange, but Would also say the mondraker. I cant change my vote
