Being a good Hubber

Halfmoon is a great Hubber! He confirmed with me someone else was interested in the wheels and was coming to view them. He followed up by informing me that they were indeed sold and kept me in the loop because I was also interested. That is the culture we require for this site, one of good practices, honesty which earns integrity! I am still waiting for a certain Hubber to get back to me about a mountain bike of high value to let me know if the bike is sold or not which is not the culture that we want.

So, to Halfmoon cheers for being a good Hubber.

That right there is really common decency and good standing that you think majority of humans have but aadly, this commonality is missing in large portion of the population.

Good on you Halfmoon.

Thank you gents for the comments because this our site to deal and buy on and as you have rightfully pointed out it is common decency that prevails when buying and selling items.

how about just giving him a good review and not kiss ass so hard? what is he selling that u want so bad? :whistling:

Thats the whole point I was second in line and did not get the item, however he had the decency to inform me......so no kissing ass as you put it!

Agreed, pm guy about an item. Read my pm and still no reply. Didnt even negotiate price....

Ive got to the point were we negotiate price, agree and send my banking details...then nothing....quiet...more messages...read...nothing.....move on

To me it's more of a dissapointment in the person, than in what I didn't get; I mean, it's not nice saying you'll take something, and when you inquire the next evening you're told that it's been sold to someone else, but that person should have the guts and decency to inform you about it. What happened to integrity?

I had the unfortune of having to tell someone that I can't go through with a deal because of some unforseen surcumstances; and, while not being nice to either party, at least he was informed.

So, great on Halfmoon for doing the right thing with integrity. I'll respect someone for telling me, even if the deal falls through

Please explain to me this whole Rouxtjie thing... Newbie...

Its the 1000 post rule AFAIK. Only deal with hubbers that have that many posts or more, that way you know they have a good interest in the sport and of course hub land.

On the other hand there are those who respond to ads with "is it still available". You reply yes and never hear anything again. Why the f ask in the first place.
