Doesn’t the activity have to have HR recorded?

Hope you came right wildwind

as long as it is recorded and not a manual entry if I remember correctly.

Hmm would like to clarify that, my wife thinks wearing my smelly HR strap during “indoor activities” is going to far.......

I’m doing it the easy way... all activities with HR. Helps having a wrist-based HR device.

Yup, exactly what I do except my almost daily walk at lunchtime I only record when I have a rest day.

Yup indoor needs HR or Power.

Patch see you are travelling, any decision on that IDT yet? My pain dream paincave is now almost complete, kickr 2, 40" UHD TV, and a room in the house all to myself (though the last one nearly resulted in separation matters)

No not yet, been super busy. Need to come back early March, so probably get it then.

thx for clearing that issue.  lucky then that I always wear my stinky strap on the idt.  I don't have these fancy set-ups or machines, but at least I can measure cadence and heartrate and time.  When it uploads to strava, it only shows time, nothing else.  hope that its ok. still dreaming of a proper set-up.  Sitting@89, is there a huge difference between the kickr 2 and the 2018 3,  expect for the price?

For those who have an Apple Watch and not a proper training watch note that Strava on the watch now has indoor running as an option. So I haven’t tested it yet but could mean that we could use a treadmill in winter and still be OK

Almost nothing DC rainmaker does a very proper review on the differences between the two, most notably the 3 is somewhat (8 full) decibels quieter at 36kph and also 6k more expensive.

Big difference between kickr 1 and 2, the 1 uses a strain gauge to measure power and they were quite prone to breaking and giving inaccurate readings, the 2 addressed this issue by reading power off the electronic brake directly.

Kickr 2 prices around 15k atm which if you take that you are getting literally one of the best (if not THE best) smart trainers on the market is not bad!
