Looks like the admin of the "Bike hub" club on strava needs to setup a challenge for the club.

I'm new to strava, so I'm lost.

Could be wrong, maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

If anyone does know, please enlighten us :)

Just give the prize to the member called " the commuter"

Didn't use his car once last year.

Commuted every day to work regardless of conditions.

Wow, commitment.

On my return leg now and only managed to travel 539m before having to make an emergency stop and pause endomondo....@ the coffee shop for a coffee and pastry :P

I didn't skip a day either but Joburg climate makes that an easy feat.

Only off-site meetings where they didn't have shower facilities made me use the car / scooter.

Stupid question time ....

So I installed the app last night.  Created a little test working (bike ride).  How would this now get linked/added to the Challange?

For your workout you will need to select "Cycling (transport)" then it will automatically pickup as a commute and add to the challenge

Do you need hot weather to justify drinking beer?  I never had that problem.  :whistling:

Ok.  I am on the board.  Did my first commute in 2017.  I did learn that one should take notice of the Weatherservice Ice warnings.  I did end up about 10 km in my ride buying some useless Bavarian real estate. Luckily no damage to the bike, myself or my ego (no one saw it).  I did however take quite a bit longer to work, yeah fitness needs to improve after the winter (polar bear syndrome) but also the stretches where I would normally keep a good temp had quite a bit of wet icy conditiions so had to be very carefull and take it easy.

My gloves are a problem.  Could hardly feel my fingers when I got to work.

Overall I enjoyed it.  Will have to see if I can commute tommorow again.  Next week some snow and colder conditioins again.

Here is the snow capped Alps for you guys to see.

I keep forgetting to activate the bloody software :P

Who is the Willem Goosen rider?

Was also wondering about that.

I have to activate Strava on the phone anyway. No problem running both.  Actually I can use the chance to ask Strava why their competition manages to record the whole trip but they battle with it.
