So I have a set of Guide RS. About a year old. I just had the exact same issue with the rear grabbing.

I had them bled and no problem since. So far so good about 3 weeks later and still feeling good.

Just as an update to this - brakes were sorted out under warranty so Kudos to SRAM and Cape Cycle systems (I think?) for doing so with minimal fuss.

Did the replace the whole levers or just the internals?

The whole lever. If I'm honest they were upgraded to RSC. I suspect a few people will probably try to take advantage of that. "Yeah my brakes aren't working either, can I also get some better ones?" Hopefully that doesn't happen though, it's the sort of behaviour that make companies really cagey about warranties.

My guides are also on their way down to Cape cycle systems, in the recent heat my levers stuck on nearly every ride, next morning they were back in the normal position again.

Kudos to Cape Cycle Systems! I bled my brakes following the sticky ordeal and that seems to have sorted the issue for me. I haven't really been out in the same heat I first experienced the issue in, but for now it seems to be sorted. Time will tell...

Yup. Got 3 sets in the shop this week for the same issue. The tolerance between the piston and the lever bore somehow goes for a loop when the lever gets too hot and the piston jams.

Lever rebuild should sort it out, otherwise we've successfully modded a set by skimming about 0.1mm off the piston bushes before reinstalling.

Seen this reported elsewhere...@2:16

Damn, was looking forward to getting some...France and long descents is on the horizon...my Trails did OK first season but last one, they were dodge as F*ck...got rock hard after a few minutes down Pleney...

This happened to me too on my RSC back brake. It's really, really annoying considering how expensive these brakes are. The problem goes away in cooler weather so it seems to be a tolerance issue and fairly common after researching it online. If they are out of warranty and you aren't afraid of screwdrivers and snap rings it looks like the fix is fairly straightforward.
