I bought from these guys, really awesome light and excellent quality... Always try get a light with a good quality LED not the cheap Chinese ones that shine a blueish colour

my cheap chinese light is going strong after about 16 months, just the battery that is pap.

It was one of those zooms that I bought from a guy on the Hub. The light is much better than the xtreme core light, so I will use that through winter.

I should have just got the xtreme endurance light but was told by a few that the core is sufficient. But its not for me, and my eye tests are all good.

Net so!

Let me try to rephrase.

The 1000lm light is sufficient. You don't really need more than that. (Or you need to eat your carrots.) That is the sufficiency baseline. It's tried and tested and it works.

But you will probably want more than that. Light envy is real.

So to avoid light envy, get the best light you can justify.

And if one of your friends has a zakspy deluxy super duper stadium light that burns grass fields two farms over, don't let him ride behind you. Riding in your own shadow sucks. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

LOL!

My first ever race was the Karkloof mtb night race, in 2006/7. Before then I had never been on singletrack in my life. Just before the night race I went and bought one of the LED Lenser headlamps. That was the only light I had for the race.

So I pitched up that evening for the race, with no skills, and very little light. At the start it was great because everyone had moerse spotlights and I was riding in their light. Needless to say, soon they dropped me and I was on my own. I hugged quite a few trees that night, and bought a few pieces of land as well..

Extreme Light Endurance is hands down one of the best products, never mind lights, that I have bought.

If you have cash, buy it. It will be the one light for everything you will ever need. From early coffee rides to 24hours events....

So way better than the Core then...do you know? I see the Core is on special.....

Need one for Cullinan2Tondeldoos and Trans Baviaans

I don't know to be honest. Never tried the core.

But for peace of mind that you will never run out of light, the endurance would be my choice.
