Rather then start a new thread, decided to bring this one back to life.

I'm keen to hear from anyone who has had their frame Hydro Dipped.

How does the finish hold up durability wise?

And most importantly how do the joins / overlaps look, as all videos I've watched show the frame needs to be dipped twice.

Got a blank carbon chinese frame that I'm super keep to have hydro dipped, but first wanted to hear some opinions from those who have done it before.

I've just sent my steel MTB frame to Durban for Hydro Dipping

Taking a bit of a gamble. Not sure if its going to be OTT and silly, but I need a project to keep my mind off not riding!

Will add pics in the next few weeks! If I'm not too embarrassed

That would be great to see some pictures of the finished frame.

What pattern did you opt for?

Who in Durban have you got doing the work?

Always wanted a snakeskin pattern...think it's the Boksburg in me coming out  :w00t:

Got the Durban number from the painting forum on the Hub.

After a few messages and calls, sounds like the chaps are small and passionate about what they do. So decided to give it a go...

If it turns out all positive, I'll share their info and pics here!
