no calves Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Good day Buying a new bike and was thinking of getting the Specialized SWAT kit. I know the box mounts on the cage and then also on a 3rd bottle cage bolt on the down tube of the normal S bikes. Since my bike will not have that 3rd bolt will it still work? Anybody tried it on a non S bike? RegardsCalves
rock Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 cleanest option would be drilling another hole and fitting a rivnut, depending on your size frame, it may impact the functional use of a seat tube bottle cage. i have though about doing this to my other bike that doesn't have 3 holes.
cadenceblur Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Contact Sterling at Revolution Cycles. He had a bar made that attaches to your frame with the required holes for SWAT BOX fitment. I had one and it worked pretty well.I see you're out of the country, maybe you can have one made?
