Yeah but then you don't get the awesome Garmin service from Navworld. They don't support units bought outside of the country. I happily pay more for Garmin because their local service is worth it.

Most garmin units only have a 12 month warranty, after that garmin will charge you for fixing a unit no matter where it comes from even if local

My FR225 also arrived today. I can't see any problems, it turns on fine. Currently charging it (plus I'm at work) so I can't take it for a run, but so far so good.

Good service, quick delivery.

 

Now I just have to hide it from my wife for a bit more than a week

Yeah mine is in very good condition, strap was a little dirty, other than that, perfect. Plugged it into my computer, and then got 9 new Strava activities. Turns out the device was used in between September and October 2015 near East London. Wonder what the story is...
