Hye, my boyfriend will participate to the 2017 Cape epic race and I will join him. Yesterday I try to buy à supporter package but it's sold out. So I'm looking for someone who sale his supporter package.

If someone can help me or give me advise for sleeping near the competitors camp.

Another question : could I entry into the camp even I don't have a competitor or supporter package ?

Thank you very much for your help and answers. Marie-Jo (French)

You can enter the camp mostly without a competitor or supporter package - you cannot enter the dining hall for meals.

You might try posting on the Cape Epics facebook page and offering to assist with driving of vehicles, or contacting one of the groups that will be working out of the supporters village (bike shops and massage services mostly). It might be that the CE still has space for volunteers (you pay to do this)

As a rider - I find it very difficult to manage family visits during the race - it's very distracting and affects recovery/rest badly and I prefer they stay at home :)

As said above, my wife and daughter spend a lot of time out in the Epic camp with me.

You won't be able to eat in the dinning hall or use the showers (if security is present..), but you will be able to buy burgers, pizza, coffee and beer from one of the many stands at the camp.. If you are hiring a car you will be able to park close by.

Thank you very much for your response.

Just one more question: where did your wife and daughter sleep during the Cape Epic ? Because I'm looking for me.

Thanks

They either drove through for the day from Cape Town or stayed in accommodation close by. We were lucky to get cancelled accommodation - especially towards the end of the race from people who had pulled out...
