New 29er, please assist

Looking to buy, narrowed it down to 2 options Silverback Sola 1 vs Titan Pro 29er. Unfortunately the Momsen Al529 that I really wanted is out of the window, want Eks moeg om iemand se gat te lek vir 'n prys. Also, my lbs don't stock Momsen so I have to drive to the a big center to buy. BTW..my lbs corresponded almost right through the day with me via email sending me different options/prices/info... Top guys. Where as the lbs in the big center is yet to respond to my 2 emails I sent asking for a price. Yes, it's the right email address as they sent me a mail telling me that if I ever need anything I must just let them know.

I'm leaning towards the better fork on the Sola, but the Titan is about R2000 cheaper.

Im a bit bummed about the Momsen, liked the frame shape and that cool little top tube holder they have, but if I can't get it through my local bike shop then I'm not getting it. Tired of dealing with businesses that I have to beg to take my money.

As everyone here said, you will not be dissapointed with the Silverback. Such quality bikes, and you get a heck of allot for your money in comparison with other brands!

So the Sola 2 is about R5000 down from the Sola 1. Should I maybe get the Sola 2 and spend the R5000 on upgraded wheelset, or just get the Sola 1 and have the Reba fork, 2 x 11 and ZTR rapid rims?

Sola 1 for sure. I have a Sola 2, and whilst it is great, the Reba and Stan's rims are a huge upgrade.

Yeah, I would also say Sola 1. You are going to struggle to find a wheelset and fork upgrade within 5k. The Sola 1 is well worth the extra 5k in my opinion.

 

EDIT: Massive upside of the Sola 1 is that it has an 11 speeed cassette, chain, and deraileur. This means you could go 1x for under 1k if you wanted to. Sola 2 is gonna cost you 4 to 5k to convert to 1x.

Definitely the Silverback, basically everything is xt on it, which by itself is already a huge upgrade. Wish I bought a Silverback when I bought my Merida, upgrades on the Merida now is way more expensive than what my bike is worth at the moment.
