Thanks guys i will assume that it is the case(the link you've posted)....well i am not planning to change anything on the idt and or the bike again(maybe adjust the saddle a bit). I will use this FTP as the benchmark and work from there.....

Don't stress about the actual power reading - that's not what you are chasing.  It's about the % increase. What's critical is using the same IDT, under the same conditions, with the same bike every time.  All my testing was done on the same day as the previous test (a Thursday at 18:00 to account for a weeks worth of training, and a week of work), with the same warm-up, in the same gears, hell we even made sure the tyre was at the same pressure as the last test.  Repeatability is what you are after here.

And then, after you have your FTP value, and you do your IDT sessions, they need to also be on the same trainer - Calibrate the trainer once a week to make sure things stay consistent.

Do that, and when you do hit the road, you'll be amazed at the improvement.

Well done...would be interesting to see what the results will be after your "winter" months.

I'm hoping to break 300w result.

Need to avg higher than 330 for the 8min tests then

At in season weight of 63 that would put me at 4.7w/kg

That's exceptionally good numbers if you get there! Keep at it!
