The "Cyclo Sportif" series is a new road funride series of 4 events, starting and finishing at the same venue in Malmesbury. While the routes are the same for all 4 events, two of the events will follow a clockwise direction and two an anti-clockwise direction. You are welcome to do only one of the events, or as many as you can. Which direction will be faster? Will you time improve as you get used to the route? Come and find out!

A light lunch will be included as part of the entry fee.

GREAT NEWS: Results from the series of four Cyclosportif events will count for your 2018 Cape Town Cycle Tour seeding. The last two events in the series will also form part of the 2017 Spring league series.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

From the start at the Malmesbury Showgrounds, participants will pedal out onto the R45 and turn left onto the R46 for the only real climb of the day. Then it's a swift descent past Riebeeck Kasteel before heading for the rollers on the R44 towards Wellington. From Wellington riders will pedal through the Voorpaardeberg area before heading back to Malmesbury via the R45.

DIRECTIONS TO VENUE

From Cape Town take the N7 towards Malmesbury. Take the exit onto the R45, merge onto the R45 and the venue will be on the left.

NOTES

All riders will receive a light lunch at the finish. Remember to wear your seeded PPA road funride number. If you have not yet collected your 2016-2017 road funride number, please contact the PPA Office in this regard. No children u/12.

Race itinerary for the Mamil -- clean bill of health from physio !!! - new BB bearings on MTB and back wheel true again - road bike serviced and noisy free hub replaced -
