Tomorrow

Mountain time

Based on what happened today and also taking into consideration his current  form I will not be surprised if Henao moves into yellow tomorrow.

"I had a small idea about trying something, but it all depended on how I felt and the conditions. It got to the moment and I said to myself 'why not? I haven't got anything to lose so if I get caught I get caught'. So I tried, and I'm just happy it worked out..."

Interesting set up for GC.

Wonder if quick step will have the youngster ride for Martin? Not sure if 1:40 is enough for the youngster over contador.

Sergio is looking good thanks a lot to his team mates.

Martin was protecting Alaphillipe today

Even backed so he could cross the line first for max bonus secs

The tours become a lot more interesting when Froome, Quintana and an inform Contador are not there. Opens up the doors for a lot more,

The week races are where the teams groom their future GC stars

Alberto Contador has made a career out of pick-pocketing his rivals. Through tactical guile, unrivaled panache, and pure ambition, the 34-year-old pistolero has more than a few times upended the script and came up spades when logic would say ride for the podium.

In fact, when you look at Contador’s grand tour record, he’s never finished on a podium that wasn’t the top step. In 16 grand tour starts (not counting his Tour debut in 2005 with 31st, and the, eh-hem, 2010-11 parenthesis), he’s either won, or finished fourth or fifth in the ones he finished. No seconds, no thirds. It’s a remarkable record that reveals how Contador is a rare rider who will throw caution to the wind, and actually risk all to attack to win.

So as Paris-Nice digs across the unpredictable terrain of Provence and the Maritime Alps packed with 15 rated climbs in the next three stages, does Contador have one more raid up his sleeve?

Today didn't really suit 'Berto but tomorrow should. I dont think he is in top form but I am pretty sure he wont be sunning himself at the back either and a stage win would be good for the morale.

I expect him to attack.

That said, I enjoyed the way Yates took the bull by the horns and just rode off, no one was prepared to chase in earnest and he won convincingly.
