Boras are the obvious choice, and thats the problem.... all Colnagos have Boras.

That's because Colnago deserves Campy and vice versa

Met these two brothers at the T d Stellenbosch

Does anybody have opinions on these Corimas?

They seem cool, and a bit more unique than obvious choices...

Carbon Hubs, Ceramics... don't think that Bora One has?

Astana still races with Corima as their wheel sponsor I think. The Mavic's with upgraded adhesives are a good selling point. Thats always the concern with carbon clinchers when it comes to overheating.

Looking at all these suggestions for wheels I am really happy that:

  • I learned to build wheels
  • I distribute a really decent hub
  • I like disc brakes
  • I found a great Chinese rim manufacturer
  • I like matt black wheels
  • I'm big enough to handle 35mm in Cape Town winds

I reckon I'm getting 95% of the performance at 40%-50% of the price.  Which means I can run ceramic bearings and roll even better.

When last was a good wheel test done between the top manufacturers? I'm trying google but not winning. The shape of a lot of brands have changed over the years and the old tests isnt accurate anymore. any help?

I might be wrong but these are an older model Cosmic.

According to MAVIC website these are 13mm ERTO size so you can really only run 23mm tyres effectively. The Cosmic Pro has 17mm internal width. There use mention also of aluminium in the braking surface construction.
