So this trail is now sadly dieing a slow death due to crazy erosion from all the rain. Any plans for maintenance or a volunteer build day soon? It's become almost unrideable, in fact most of the trails need work after all the rains. I'm keen to do some digging up there

I've stopped riding tokai after a lack of skills met an excessively large rut 2 and a bit weeks ago... some dangerous (and painful) sections on the DH track at the moment. A build day is definitely in order once the worst of the rains have passed.

Both the AM trail and DH 3 have just, as in the last few days, seen the worst of the erosion repaired. Tread carefully nonetheless. There is more rain on the way....

Same here. I stopped some time back. I seem to have a magnetic attraction to ruts.

That's incredible - thank you for the effort (to anyone/everyone involved). I am really hoping there is more heavy rain this week but it's a pity if the trails have just been repaired! I'll give it another go soon - DH 0, 1 and 2 were a nice challenge after the rain but DH3 was just terrifying at speed.

Thanks, I'll pass the message on. We are using rocks to fill the deepest ruts which we hope will prevent further erosion, or at least slow it down. Any funding contributions will also be appreciated by TokaiMTB.

As we are not always able to ride all the trails all the time, we also rely on rider reports to become aware of problems, so please, don't be shy, pop a post on the hub. I'll add an email address you can also use shortly.

I also like the idea of a build day. Haven't done that for a while now. Will be great to get the "team" together again..
