Well, if I know who Die Muishond is, am I a pinner by association?

Goeie hell people...Enduro...what in the hell has that got to do with anything?

I'm sorry...if you would so kindly point out the one tech feature at Meerendal...hmmm...Perhaps the OPTIONAL small rocky 1.5m long section on the descent from Dorskberg?

And since when did "go faster" make it more technical? All that does is make it more dangerous....Tech doesn't mean you need to poop yourself. For example..some of the rocky climbing sections on Boulders at Tokai are awesome and technical. But are you goign fast...? Nope.

Okes need to get out of this damn mindset. After being told at the AGM there will be no trails built to improve the technical aspect (and thus variety) of the trails on Tygerberg this year it's no wonder people's strive to the technical standards set by the average Epic rider

Don't mind them, they are pretty hardcore.

You must still meer the steel bike riding guys, they make these endurobros look like a bunch of crying complaining babies

You forget the unicycles.

Always remember that some people find the crashes, near misses and heart racing adrenalin as boring and repetitive as those Meerendal trails. Each to their own.

As someone who both has taken newbies and can vividly remember the horror of being a newbie myself, Conties is definitely more fun in terms of trails that are just scary enough for a beginner, Meerendal is far more about testing the legs on that hill and the nice fast, easy track where you can build cornering skills and body position, etc without fear...

Bloemendal is good fun to learn to jump and to take the kids (if you aren't as frosted float driven as some Hubbers ????)

But Hoogekraal is still the most fun to ride. But unless the beginner you are taking is a wannabe downhiller, the Cobra is not to be ridden hard especially in two or 3 areas sight unseen.

My 2 sense.

Exactly. The want for tech trails doesn't make you a type of rider. It just means you want variety. Instead of berm city.

You're right,.(Club Membership Error..).Some should stay on Houtbay side, while the lesser one's patrol the "pathetic" Tygerberg trails,...I suppose????

Fwiw conters is my favourite (not incl welvanpas, which has amaaaazing variety) and hoogies has my favourite climb. The hoogies descent (cobra and the one back to the car) are great. The rest.... Meh.

Just wish there were more variety. There's amazing potential for it.
