Jacoswart695 Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 i was fedup with mine (replaced all bearings on bike and even went riding without seat post) and it ended up being a loose freehub body...Thank you for your input. Will keep this in mind when taking it in today.
fanievb Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 tighten your skewer as much as possible (after cleaning it and applying a thin layer of grease) edit: that's what solved my problem
Fred_MTB Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 I would suggest removing pedals applying some grease to thread and reinstalling Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tristand Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Check for cracks in the frame! You may need to strip the bike to do this.
Hairy Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Is your cassette torqued on properly ... remove, clean, apply some lube/grease, torque up and try again. A bike making a noise is a ^%$#&$%*$^(^(*$%(%^(^%$%#$^&%&*@$&^%*!!!!!! So I feel your pain and hope you get this sorted.
myveonix Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 The seatpost clamp is too tight. Loosen by half turn and try again
Ofaniy Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Hi all, Please can you help me. I have replaced almost everything that can make a cracking noise like this but still it won't go away. I replaced the following already - SprocketRear DerailerChainBB You would really make my year if you can give me the solution because I don't know anymore. Kind regardsJaco Had the same problem a year ago, only when standing to pedal Have you checked your knees?
Runbikeswim Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Is that a 2017 spark 940? If so its a design flaw as it seems to be common in the 940 2017 models... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
