Replacement pins for Flats

Going to do a stint on the flat pedals again to sharpen up the skills.

Not keen on forking out money for new pedals since mine are still ok (Nukeproof Elektrons), but the pins are a bit worse for wear.

Other than ordering a set from CRC for R70 and a ton for shipping, is there a more local option for replacement pins?  Are these something a hardware shop would stock even?

The Elektrons use a bolt and nut - I still have all the nuts, so it's just the little bolt pins I need.

I took a pair of flats to Handles Inc. they have lots of grub screws that worked very well.

Sweet.  They're right around the corner from me.  Those are probably 3mm screws hey?

Take a set of pins to a nut and bolt shop. You won't get an exact match, but you'll definitely find something that works.

Ja, rekon that's my option.  Just not sure where to start.

Between Bolt and Nut Centre and Topfast whom are both in Paarden Eiland. You should get sorted pretty quickly. Bolt it in Ottery is also an option but for really kaanget stuff I would head just straight to Topfast. They sorted me out with some very hard to find bolts I needed for my computers radiator. I would just take the entire pedal with me so I can test out different options.

You could probably get an assortment of lengths to play with. Cheap as chips too.

Topfast are great, but if you think bike shops are expensive you've got a surprise coming...

I like Bolt and Nut center opposite Fawkes Bros. Dunno if they cheap, but they always have stainless nuts and bolts

That's weird because the people in Paarl are Fawkes Bros?
