I just hope that Louis has now realized that he can attack also, he does not just have to follow wheels to the line.

Yesterday was case in point, when he eventually decided to light the fuse, he dropped Froome's group like a hot potato. Bardet tried to stick with him, but he also had to let go after a while.

Louis looked good and composed. Let's hope there is more of this to come during the TDF.

I agree with you but I can't help but wonder if he can consistently attack or go with the attackers continually in a tour. He seems to have great days in the mountains but it is always just on 1 or maybe 2 stages. He does end up in the top 10 which shows overall consistency

The last part of your comment covers he's consistency. Would like to see him being more consistently in the front group when the heat is on or better still make the heat.

Maincheese's top 10 finish at TdF was a remarkable achievement

With little or no team depth

It cannot be exclaimed enough

Especially in the young rider category

I am not a big Porte fan but I have to say he rode an inspired stage yesterday. Just proves once again you dont need to be the best in the race to win, sometimes opportunity comes knocking and you grab it,.. just ask Nibali, he has made a career of opportunism.

Aru and Bardet were also on fire, I certainly felt they gave it their best, not sure about 'Berto though, apart from the ITT he didn't look too enthusiastic at all, hope he finds his Mojo.

Jeez, stop crying Richie....its called racing. Especially when you're in yellow!

"... There were guys who preferred me not win the race instead of going for it themselves."

He surely can't say this and refer to Froome. From the commentary (for what it was worth) Froome attacked on 3 of the 4 final climbs. If that is not trying to win yourself then what is? You can't really blame him for that. Disappointed in not winning obviously, but those complaints are unbecoming of a champion rider.

After his crying foul, I now see what you mean. :whistling:

What, so did he want the other riders to let him win?

My thoughts were hey check froome is pulling a Bert and racing aggressively, and how awesome it is.. Obviously we should've checked with Porte to find out if racing to win was allowed.

Pfft..now you see his whining has just wiped out the memory of him fighting so much on the last climb..he needs to put on his big boy pants.

And to think I've always liked Porte..........he is starting to behave like a typical Ozzie whinger!

Too much at Sky might have turned him into a d.ck like it did Froome

Funny, he seemed likable at Sky, he was wearing a BMC shirt this weekend incase you didn't notice. In fact he's been there a while now.
