Also started in B last year, I see from the results I was only a few positions ahead of you...

Bonked out from C near the Klipheuwel Silos, got passed by E close to Stellenbosch, unable to even hang onto their wheels for a few seconds ( on the downhill!?!) - was one of my more humbling days on a road bike.

This year I will hopefully be a bit fitter & wiser.

I cramped up and, like a cheap firecracker and fizzled out near Klipheuwel.

Limped home, fighting with my bike.

This year, I am as undercooked as sushi after some lung troubles at winter's end.

Won't even dare to swing a leg over the saddle this weekend.  :whistling:

No one finished behind me, because I was 64/64 in group B.  :whistling:

To make sure I don't stand a chance this year I will do my racing on the STBB 60km on Saturday. Seeded in E so I'll make my way down to J or there about.

I am so glad this topic popped up so early in the week!

I just checked my results, this will be my 6th one, I have not beaten my 1st one tonner position yet, mostly as we do it as a team vibe I think.

Looking forward to this weekend, will be interesting to see how things pan out with the team racing starts.

I see your club has hired some big guns for the team racing. Going to be crazy out there! (Although clearly there seems to be a communication problem)

Im hopefully going to finish this as one of Bretts "Pilot fishes" on the event. He is riding for a charity with a buggy on the back. If you pass us, lend a push please or make a small donation to help the people who need help.

Great cause, can we donate cash on day?

Does anyone know someone who won't be doing the race and has entered? I will be in Cpt this weekend and would like to do the race.

We have come to the conclusion that only 2 teams entered [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Good. People are realising why bikes have one saddle and one handle bar.

Looks like team entries were sold out in the end. 5cd74ca012c26abcb1e0da212f92e32e.jpg

29 teams, so 1/3 of the race, also know there are plenty teams starting in the seeded groups as well still. [emoji12]
