cadenceblur Posted June 8, 2017 Share Hi guys Please have a look at the video. You will hear rubbing noise and see chain rubbing against cage. Is this a warped chain ring?

100Tours Posted June 8, 2017 Share Something bent? either that or the BB is loose. 2 tests you can try - If you take the chainring off and put it on a table you would be able to see if it is flat or not.- if you wiggle the cranks you'll quickly see if they are loose / BB is loose

PeterF Posted June 8, 2017 Share What happens when on the small ring?
johannrissik Posted June 8, 2017 Share Chainring is clearly not running flat. Check that all the chainring bolts are secure. If they are, you may need to gently correct (bend) the chainring outwards. The other knocking sound I have no idea Good luck

Spoke101 Posted June 9, 2017 Share A sticker in the wrong place? Nope, bolt seams to not be tight/cross treaded causing the step between small and big chainrings.

cadenceblur Posted June 9, 2017 Share Was the chain ring bolt loose?Yeah - actually the thread is stripped - hopefully a new bolt will do the trick and the spider thread is not stuffed as well.
