Anybody have a Commencal SX or AM 4.2?

I've just got a AM4 that I brought in from the UK. Had a few test rides on it and it's very, very good. The 4.2 is supposed to be a bit of a step up as they've changed a few things.

I'm probably 3 - 4 rides in and initial impressions are making me think i might sell this one, sell my Tranny Smuggler (big call) and just buy a top spec AM4.2 for everything.

Price point for the full build is insane from lower level ones and up to top tier but I might wait until they release the 4.2 with the Eagle GX and then pop over to the old dart for a holiday and a new ride! I did look at just getting the frame, shock and some extras on the A La Carte programme (as I don't like the wheels they spec and droppers etc) but even doing that I was struggling to hit their numbers for the full bike.

2015 Trail bike of the year, 2016 runner up Trail bike if the year, 2017 Trail bike of the year.... and it's an alu frame.

I have a Meta AM V4. I brought it in myself (late 2015), but collected the frame and shock in person from Commencal in Erts, Andorra (as I was there already). The bike has been very good to me and was significantly cheaper than similar local options that were available at the time. I've had no regrets/issues with the bike

You really can't go wrong with Commies.

If I were you, I'd not go for the SX. It's basically the V3 frame with some newer bits and bobs.

I'd definitely go for the V4.2. They've tweaked the geo a bit and it is a properly future-proof bike stock, as it's Boost front and back and has metric shocks.

I see they've launched direct distribution in Australia and Mexico now. Hell, Nepal, Indo, Chile and Peru can get their hands on them so holding thumbs for a proudly RSA outpost for the Andorran brand.

Eddy Gordo has an SX, Hellocolour has a Meta 4.

Yeah, I have the 26er version. Very playful bike, allows to make lots of corrections mid anything and even allows you to be lazy, if I can put it like that.

I would buy the 650B version over the v4. But I would not mind the V4 either.

O and apparently the new SX is gonna be in limited numbers only!!

I thought Jeffsy got that accolade.  Well it got MBR's anyway.

I see now Jeffsy won the 29'er category.

So want to ride one of those (and a Capra) as well to see how they stack up against my Smuggler and my Meta.

So I discovered that my little neoprene mudflap for the shock is literally hanging by a thread.

Decided to take it to coral wetsuits and see if they can make me one.

Not only did the lady say she will see, I expected to leave mine there, then come back another time to collect. Instead they made it while I waited. So I took 2.

Only took them 20min to make.

Awesome service from them as usual!!!

I have ridden the Capra CF down the zevenwacht downhill track - Its extremely fast rolling, light and responsive. This being said I was on a large and was born for a medium frame.

I cant wait to get the META 4.2's in they are going to take over - The frame geometry is <3
