I have seen this kind of behaviour from taxi drivers already. 

People walking in the yellow lane taxi comes speeding past and practically runs the people over.

 

Now what I dont understand is, there are plenty cameras for the Buss and taxi lane on the n2. If you drive in that lane, the camera catches you and you get a fine. Why dont they similar cameras in the yellow lanes?

And to add to that, a lot of these taxi drivers has got 10's of thousands of Rands in outstanding fines and warrants but it's business as usual for most of them. These penalties don't deter them at all.

So true, the fines simply get striked from yoir record after 18months. And let's be honest, police just do not follow up on them! Traffic fines mean about as much as a disaproving look to these raxi drivers, and the large majority of drivers on our road as well.
