Which Assos for an Ou's A$$?

If you could possibly still find them anywhere, the S5 Uno bibs are just the "work horse" of the Assos S5 range & fit excellently.

Note - it's VERY important to make sure you wash your bib shorts directly after a ride, I tend too keep a bucket with a little Omo in my shower & throw my Assos bibs directly in there, hand wash & hang to dry on a drying rack. And so far most have lasted more then 6yrs !!

Thanks for the input.

Since starting this thread, I've acquired a pair of S7_Mille and S7_Neo. Both very comfy and fast becoming the "workhorses".

I'm yet to do a ride in excess of 4 hours in them, but with what is experienced this far, I don't think it'll be any different than the shorter rides.

I see even abroad the guys are moaning about how ridiculously expensive Assos has become. Really is a shame.

........ I need some advice........

..........a piece of Italian luxury

.........I have (reluctantly) decided to venture into Assos territory.

ASSOS of Switzerland Premium cycling apparel since 1976

Patience you must have my young SDS.......

you must first unlearn what you have learned

IMO it’s not the price or name of the bib, it’s the fit and location of the padding that must interface correctly with your pressure points

I’ve bought various ASSOS bibs and shorts for my cycling cupboard also thinking they must be the be all and end all..... truthfully they are good quality and long lasting BUT they are also the least used of all my cycling shorts...
